36 WEEKS & EVICTION DATE!!!

Tuesday was the 36 week mark and I had my weekly OB appointment, along with my NST. The doc told me that after 36 weeks, they won't stop labor if I should happen to go into labor on my own.....woohoo! On that note, I was 1 cm dilated and 20% effaced when they checked my cervix. Not a whole lot of progress but about where they would expect me to be at this point with baby #2. They said things could progress very quickly from here since my body already "knows what to do"....yikes! At any rate, I have a "tentative" eviction date for this little guy...I will most likely be induced on September 25th.....OMG...that's only 2 WEEKS FROM TOMORROW!!! I really really have a strong feeling that this little guy won't wait until then, but we shall see. I had a little scare during the NST because Cameron's heart rate was WAY higher than it normally is. Usually when he's moving around it goes up in the 160's and sometimes 170's. Well, his was going into the 180's and sometimes hitting 190! They normally leave me hooked up to the monitors for 20 minutes but I was left hooked up for about an hour. They wanted to see it come down and stay in the normal range for a certain period of time (which it eventually did, thank God). Apparently they caught him at a particularly active time because he was rolling around and punching & kicking me the entire time, pretty much. The doc didn't seem overly concerned once he saw the peaks & valleys on the readout. I was VERY thankful that everything turned out o.k. I was freaked out for a bit that they would send me to the hospital, alone with Brayden since I had our only vehicle and Scott was at work!

I have been frantically trying to get the house in order before Cameron gets here but I'm finding myself completely out of energy and out of breath with this little butt right up against my diaphragm....LOL I have all the baby clothes washed, but not put away and even though the nursery is done, nothing is put away or organized yet. I did end up packing my hospital bag Tuesday night because the appointment just made me realize even more how "UNready" I am and how I did not want to head to the hospital without my "necessities"!

We were supposed to have professional maternity portraits taken last week but our photographer's little girl came down with a fever & sore throat, so naturally we had to reschedule. We are shooting for this Saturday and IF we end up getting them taken, I'll post pics......we had them done with Brayden and it was a LOT of fun and an awesome way to keep the "belly" memory alive:-)
