PROGRESS - 37 WEEK APPOINTMENT

I had my 37 week appointment today and I've made some progress since last week. I'm at 2 cm dilated (I was at 1 cm last week). I am also 50% effaced (I was only 20% last week), which is GREAT since you have to efface (cervix has to thin out) before you can fully dilate). Baby's head is also lower than it was last week. So, as things stand now, we are still set to be induced on September 25th (10 DAYS FROM NOW!!!)....of course he could still come on his own before then but praying that's not the case because I want my mom to be here for the birth and she's 700 MILES AWAY:0(

I'm still trying to get the house in order and baby things put away, but I did manage to get hubby to dig out the baby gear from the garage:-) I washed the cover on the baby swing and got it put back on and the swing all set up in the living room. I also washed the new cover on the car seat and got the seat & base all washed & ready to install in the car! It looks sooooo weird to see a baby carrier sitting in the middle of my living room floor....been a while since I've seen it. Today's goal is to get the pack-n-play put together and wiped down!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to update my blog from the hospital since I don't have a laptop, so I will update as soon as possible after the "big day"!!! Until the next update though.....please keep us in your prayers that we will have an "uneventful" birth and that baby and I will stay safe & healthy!
