very time another month goes by, I can hardly believe I'm typing the fact that my baby is really a month older. EIGHT MONTHS OLD THIS WEEK....where in the WORLD does time go? Cameron had his 6 month check-up at actually 7 1/2 months and he was 14.2 lbs. and 25 3/4" long (he's following in his brother's footsteps as far as being WAY down low on the growth charts.) He also received three of his vaccines. He hasn't had ANY vaccines yet since he was born because I chose to delay them and spread them out a bit. He received the HIB, PC and DTAP all at one visit. They wanted to give him SIX different injections and I said "no way". He did fine with them, no fever, no fussiness, etc.. His brother always breezed right through them with no problems either...thank God!
Cameron is sitting up on his own for short periods of time...he still hasn't figured out that he cannot throw himself backwards without it hurting....LOL He is also "almost" crawling. He finally learned to get up on all fours and rock back & forth...he also just starting doing this with one leg straight out to the side....I will post a video that I shot of him doing this....it's hilarious and I've never seen a baby do this before. I imagine he'll be crawling in the next week or so. He doesn't have any teeth yet. Brayden never cut his first tooth until he was 9 months old so I really don't expect to see any in there in the near future. This is actually a VERY good thing. The dentists all say the later they get their teeth, the stronger their adult teeth will be. He has also become quite the babbler...we've heard mamamama, dadadada, nananana, etc. etc.(although he prefers saying "dadadadadadadadada"). He's really a happy little guy unless he's tired, hungry or bored and then watch out world...cover your ears!!! He screams louder and higher pitched than anything I've ever heard. It's especially difficult on the nerves when it's in an enclosed place....like the car!!! He has such a bubbly, outgoing little personality and smiles all the time. He's also VERY effectionate...he hugs & kisses us ALL the time:-) After a two month bout of diarrhea, he was given the "o.k." by the Pediatrician to start solid foods. They usually start at 6 months but he started a little after 7 months. So far he loves every fruit & vegetable he's tried EXCEPT for green beans.
I finally had success with potty training Brayden.....YAY BRAYDEN!!! He had it down pat in ONE DAY! He's even potty trained at night, which most of the time comes WAY later...especially with boys. It's been three weeks now and going VERY well...he's soooo proud of himself and still shows us every pee pee and poop in the toilet! He LOVES his "big boy" underwear and loves to buy new ones when we go to Kohl's....they look soooo cute on him....here are some "Buzz Lightyear" from Toy Story undies:
I've been sick for a week with something going on with my stomach. They are suspecting it's my gallbladder but I have to have more tests run next week before I'll know more. The boys and I are flying to Michigan on June 5th to bring my step-daughter (Rachel) down here for her summer visit. We will all be driving back down here with my mom. I'm nervous about flying with the two of them alone, but it's a non-stop flight so there shouldn't be too many issues (I hope). I'm excited about the break but at the same time hubby can't go so we will all miss him:0( I guess that's it for new this week. Now here are some pictures and videos for your viewing pleasure:-0)
