Happy New Year everyone! Our new year started off last Wednesday with Scott being called into a meeting to inform him at the end of the work day that he no longer had a job! He called me on my way to pick him up from work and told me this news. I thought he was joking at first, but realized he would NEVER joke about something like that. So, in an instant we went from being excited about the near year to being scared out of our minds and full of worry about how we'll pay the bills, how he'll support all of us, how we'll eat, etc....We are slowly coming to terms with all of this and just taking one day at a time. We are eternally grateful to GOD for blessing us with our family, good health and most important of all our TWO little miracle boys. I know that things are still scary but I also know that he will do anything and everything in his power to try & get another job to support our family. He has always worked very hard at his job, never missed time unless it was an emergency, never showed up late to work and I know that God will provide a way for him to find another job. In the meantime, we'll do what so many other Americans are doing that are out of work,,,,,,turning to the state to help us out while they still have the funds to do so. I've been extremely busy making phone calls to various community agencies, applying for every form of "aid" that's out there. On the job front, Scott was contacted by a recruiter who saw his resume on Career Builder and she has a couple of jobs that she is working on and she's going to submit Scott's info. to. PLEASE PRAY HARD that something will pan out soon. One of the jobs is for the new Kia plant in Georgia. The crazy thing is that his old boss from GM in Michigan left GM to take a job in Mississippi at Nissan. Well, we just found out yesterday that she is no longer with Nissan but she's working for KIA in Georgia! She is very willing to give Scott a good recommendation there and is actually going to circulate his resume around there as well.
Here are a couple of recent pictures the always manage to put a smile on my face no matter how bleak things seem:-)
