28 WEEKS!!!

Gosh....where do I begin to even update all that has been going on lately. I'll start by the most important thing.....Cameron. He's doing wonderful! He's still growing & measuring right on schedule. I had THREE doctor's appointments today. The morning started with an ultrasound to check the baby's growth at the Perinatologist. He's measuring right on target and everything looked great! I still have this annoying 5 cm ovarian cyst that hasn't gone away but the doctor doesn't thing it should cause any problems during the remainder of the pregnancy or the birth. I then had an appointment with a midwife at the OB's office to measure my fundus and check the baby's heartbeat. We went over some questions I had about future visits, etc...and now I'm officially on 2 visits a month instead of 1. She said there is a chance that they might induce me at 39 weeks due to my age and the fact that I'm on insulin for the gestational diabetes but they will assess me closer to that time and I might even go into labor on my own by then. My last visit was with the Endocrinologist who is monitoring the gestational diabetes. I was concerned about my high blood sugar readings but he doesn't seem overly concerned at this time because they aren't "consistently" high and will leave me on just the 8 units of insulin at night only until further notice.

Sooooooo that leaves me with the craziness of the past couple of weeks to update about. We went on a road trip to MI to take Rachel back home after having her down here with us for 6 weeks. We were sad to see her go:0( We brought my mom back down here with us for a couple of weeks and the day we left to drive back to GA I ended up sick in ER due to dehydration. I was having heart palpitations, kept getting clammy and feeling like I was about to pass out. They ended up gi
ving me potassium before leaving the hospital and told me to drink Gatorade on our drive. We left the hospital and started our LONG drive back down to GA. We stopped for the night in Louisville, KY then got back on the road the next morning. We made it about 20 miles south of Louisville and our transmission went out on I-65 in Shepherdsville, KY and we were stranded on the side of the road. Thank GOD we came upon some wonderful people that were very helpful, including a wrecker service and transmission shop that worked us in immediately and we were only stranded for about a day! So, then a week after we got back into town my mom, Brayden and I were at McDonald's having lunch and when we went to leave, we were backing out of our parking spot and a VERY old lady ran into the back of the rental car mom was renting and tore off half of the back end and kept driving until she realized she had hit something. I was wedged into the tiny back seat next to Brayden and we hit just hard enough to make my BIG belly hit the side of his car seat. I felt kind of bruised but ended up going to the hospital to be checked out in the labor & delivery department. They hooked me up to the monitor and monitored the baby for about 4 hours and did and ultrasound to make sure he was o.k. and that it hadn't detached the placenta. I was a nervous wreck but at least everything checked out great and they let me go home!

Finally, we have decided to break our lease and move out of this house that we just moved into a few months ago!!! It has been nothing but a nightmare (I've posted about it on here already) and we really have no other choice but to leave and move and try to get "settled" into something nicer before Cameron arrives. We found 2 houses that we liked and our rental application was approved for both places but we've decided on the bigger house with the smaller yard and are scheduled to move in 2 weeks! Call me crazy to be making to moves in 3 months time.....oh and at 7
MONTHS PREGNANT!!! Please pray that this house will find us ALL happier and that we won't have to deal with fire ants & fleas!!!

Now for the new belly pictures. These were taken over the weekend, so I was about 2 days shy of 28 weeks! Notice the bruises in the 2nd picture from my insulin injections:0(

  1. Hey Girlfriend! What an update! First, congrats on everything going perfect with your little miracle baby Cameron! On all the other happenings, the ER, car breaking down, lady hitting you, another hospital visit and having to move again all while 7 month pg... geez, I see you've been having a grand time, huh!

I'm soooooo glad you're getting out of that place you're in! So how did you handle this with the landlord? Is he letting you out of the lease without a fight? What a blessing that you already found 2 other places.

Last but not least, what a cute belly you have!

    Love ya!
