CAN YOU SAY STRESS????

It's been about two weeks since my last post and life has been CRAZY!!! I have been offline and unable to update my blog too:-( As far as "fruits" go, I've gone from Avocado to Onion to Sweet Potato to "almost" Mango already. Time is flying by and I can't believe I'm almost half way through my pregnancy already. Full term is considered anything 38 weeks and after, so that would put me at half way this coming Tuesday!!! So far things are still going well with the pregnancy. I'm not nearly as tired and have WAY more energy than I had the first 12 weeks. If it weren't for my HUGE belly, I wouldn't even know I was pregnant. No more symptoms whatsoever! Next week is our scheduled anatomy scan, at which time we will also attempt to find out the gender of this little bean. My mom is planning a trip down here so I may postpone that appointment by a few days to make sure she is able to go to the appointment with us.

Here are a couple of belly pict
ures I took yesterday at 18 wks & 3 days:

So, in case you're wondering why I was offline for 2 weeks, it's because we just moved from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor into a 3 bedroom house in the country on an acre. The "idea" was to have an extra room for the new baby and a yard for Brayden to play in. We were sick of apartment living and felt it was unfair to raise the kids in an apartment. We looked diligently for a house to rent and everything we found in our price range was in a REALLY bad area of town. We finally found a really cute one story farmhouse in the country on Craig's List that someone was advertising. We went and saw it and immediately fell in love with it. Things were back & forth for a couple of weeks. We were scheduled to move in, then some "snags" came up and we almost weren't going to be able to rent it, etc. etc.. Finally the day came for us to move in and let me just tell you....it's been NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE!!! To make a long story, short.....the gal that was renting it wanted out of her lease so the landlord let her sublease to us. Everything was supposed to be all cleaned and ready for us to move in. So, on moving day we hired movers to the tune of $500 since we don't know anybody around here to help us and with me being pregnant, I couldn't possible help carry heavy furniture & boxes from the 3rd floor apartment. We showed up at the "new house" with the movers in tow and walked into a filthy house that hadn't been cleaned. I was immediately in tears and couldn't even believe what I was seeing.

We didn't have a choice but to move our things in because the movers were sitting in the driveway with the clock ticking on their $85/hr charge! We had them unload our things into the dining room & living room and there it still sits for the most part. We have been painting & trying to clean around all the boxes & furniture as best as possible. On top of all the mess, the lady who rented before us had indoor/outdoor cats that apparently had a serious case of fleas that decided to come to life and start feeding on my poor innocent little boy!!! He's covered from head to toe with hundreds of flea bites and it breaks my heart to look at him. We've already had an exterminator out here once and it hasn't taken care of the problem so we are calling him again on Monday morning.

Here are just a few pictures of my poor little man.....I feel like the most horrible mommy in the world. If I had known this place was infested with fleas, I would have NEVER in a million years moved my family into this house.

Sooooo,,,,,again, "Can you say STRESS"????? I really don't need all this stress and work to do right now being pregnant, but I'm plugging away, taking it one day at a time, trying to get a little cleaning and a little painting done as time allows.

The house has the "potential" to be very cute and homey and it looked that way when we first saw it because she had tons of furniture covering up all the filth, pictures on the walls, etc. etc... I think we "could" be happy here eventually as long as the flea problem is taken care of.

We will continue plugging away at the cleaning, painting, etc...and hopefully the next time I update on the house I will be MUCH happier and MUCH LESS STRESSED!

  1. Wahoo on a symptom free pregnancy! You're cooking right along, before you know it that little baby will be in your arms!

I am just disgusted for you that you have had to endure all the stress from this new house. Ugh!

I pray that all gets better soon!

    Love ya!
