IT'S LEMON TIME!!!

Well, it's "lemon" time!!! I've graduated to the lemon stage. It's amazing how quickly the weeks just fly by. It seems like I just switched over to the "peach" stage and here it is time to change the fruit picture again!!! In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, if you notice on the right side of the screen towarda the bottom, there is a different fruit every week. Somebody was creative and came up with this cute little way of showing what size the baby is each week based on the different types of fruit. I found the link from an online group that I'm in and it's really exciting for me each week when I get to graduate to a new fruit!

Things are going well so far except that I've developed early onset gestational diabetes again:-( I had it with Brayden and it's pretty much a sure thing for women that have PCOS (like me). I was able to control it strictly with diet during my pregnancy with Brayden but this time around I'm already struggling to keep my blood sugar levels in the range that they need to be in. I'm supposed to eat 45 grams of carbs with each meal and my blood sugar two hours after I eat needs to be below 200. Well, it seems that most meals it's higher than that and they don't really want you to lower your carb intake too much just to get your numbers down. I will be seeing an Endocrinologist as soon as I can get in with one. Please pray for me that I am able to get this under control because it can be VERY dangerous for BOTH the baby and I. I totally expect them to put me on insulin for the remainder of my pregnancy to try & help things out a bit but I will know more once I see a specialist.

On another note, our lease is up in a few weeks on our apartment and we were scheduled to move into a different apartment community on the 20th of this month, but we've been dragging our feet because we REALLY DO NOT LIKE apartment living. We've been praying about it and hoping to find a house to rent with an extra bedroom for the new baby and a yard for Brayden to play in. So after weeks of searching, we finally found one. It's sort of a farmhouse, all on one level with all orginal hardwood floors and we both really fell in love with it. It has such a warm, homey feeling. It looks like we will be getting this place so PLEASE pray that God will show us whether or not it's HIS will that we move into this place.

  1. Wahoo on a new fruit! I hope you are able to continue to control your GD with diet alone. Fingers crossed.
